Summary
Northwood Headquarters is home to multiple operational HQs with associated CIS, infrastructure and people. Separating the daily challenges from future planning is critical in achieving coherence across a multitude of change activities and projects.
From minor change, disability adjustment, parking planning, infra and power planning, to being the central point for major project coherence reaching decades into the future and worth £Bns, the OC P&F role ensures that CO Northwood HQ can effectively plan on behalf of UKStratCom .
Working directly to CO Northwood and supported by a Change Manager, Project Management Office, Project Officers, Comms Officer and Requirements Managers, OC P&F is one of 2 deputies alongside the military OF4 - OC Base Operations.
OC P&F is also the most senior Civil Servant within the Northwood HQ team and would provide mentoring and, where necessary, reporting over CS, as well as advice and guidance to CO Northwood on CS matters and planning.
Coordination of planning and projects requires special access via DV and STRAP. Knowledge of project and programme management would be an advantage, though funding for course attendance may be available.
