About the role

A fantastic and unique opportunity has arisen for a Food & Drinks Trend Manager at Tesco on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

This role will see the successful candidate drive forward our food passion, curiosity and deeper knowledge about the future, delivering strategic ambitions in a meaningful and collaborative way to the key teams; inspiring the product, category and brand strategy rolling thought process including annual PGRs.

Leading the management of product trends data to ensure that we understand the future landscape that it is embedded into the teams at the right time to make the right decisions will require strong and empowering leadership style that thrives in a fast pace and collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for

  • Trends centre of excellence which drives food passion, curiosity and deeper knowledge about the future, delivered in a meaningful and collaborative way to the key teams inspiring the product, category and brand strategy rolling thought process including annual PGRs
  • Continuously track, monitor and relate trends back into the business across all categories including drink, food, household, pet, beauty and health.
  • Develop, effective stakeholder management and communication to ensure trends are embedded into the category NWTs teams and support 1/2/3* projects on Product Plan.
  • Facilitate PD Forums, co-create & chef’s table sessions to feed the rolling product plan and innovation plan
  • Work collaboratively with the chef team to bring to life trends & strategy for Future Food Projects / Trend Events.
  • Lead assigned projects to agreed criteria and work collaboratively across the business to incorporate thinking from the right teams.
  • Be curious about new technologies, ingredients and processes which could inspire or support future innovation.
  • Building great relationships with our supplier partners & ensuring the teams engage with them on product & strategy.
  • Driving a product culture &being an ambassador of our innovation, with customers at the heart of everything we do.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct & always acting with integrity & due diligence.

You will need

  • Strong & empowering leadership style that thrives in a fast pace & collaborative environment.
  • Leader who can assimilate a wide range of information & insight & balance the needs of working with stakeholders.
  • A high level of knowledge of product trends.
  • End to End product & proposition development.
  • Experience in research and insights
