Do you have what it takes to keep people and property safe while supporting a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment?
We’re looking for a professional and proactive Security Guard to join our SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) & Security team at
our Poole Bakery, a large chilled food manufacturing site.

Job Title: Security Guard

Location: The Compleat Food Group, Sterte Avenue, Poole, Dorset BH15 2AS

Salary: £14.60 per hour

Hours: 4on 4off (2 days , 2 nights, 4 off) 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am

About the Role

As a key part of our site security, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff,
visitors, and contractors alike. This isn’t just watching CCTV — you’ll be actively involved in incident response, access control,
patrols, and supporting emergency protocols.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Greet visitors, hauliers, and contractors and ensure all site procedures are followed.
* Patrol the site regularly, checking for suspicious activity or safety concerns.
* Operate CCTV systems and assist with incident investigations.
* Support the business during emergency situations and respond to alarms.
* Conduct bag, pocket, locker, and vehicle searches respectfully when required.
* Issue and manage keys for secure site access.
* Administer First Aid when needed and complete incident reports accurately.
* Assist in site access control during environmental or safety-related incidents.
* Help monitor vehicle activity, parking regulations, and long-stay vehicles.
* Carry out breathalyser checks where necessary in accordance with company policies.
* Support the SHE team with training, briefings, and ongoing safety initiatives.

* Calm, confident, and professional at all times – even in high-pressure situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly reliable, organised, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Physically fit and alert – you’ll need to be active across shifts.
* Good judgement and a problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to follow instructions and act decisively in emergencies.
* SIA licence (essential)
* First Aid training (desirable)
