If you have previously worked as an OT Assistant Band 3
and have experience of working with young people either in the voluntary, public or private sector..
Then come and be part of a team who is now able to change the face of OT in the community in Newham.
The role will include:
· Supporting the Occupational Therapists during assessment and intervention of young people with mental Health difficulties
· Running activity groups on Acute and Day Service
Providing support to the young people in education within the Coborn Centre for Adolescent Mental Health
· Supporting the Occupational Therapists with any administrative tasks
· Supporting the team when running training sessions either in person or on virtual platforms
· Supporting the team in updating resources for our website
· Supporting the team in the processes of ordering equipment

1. The post holder will work both with the occupational therapists, and, after instruction and training, independently, to assist families in carrying out OT programmes as planned by the qualified OTs.
2. The post holder will also assist in the smooth running of the service by ensuring adequate stock of specialist supplies and assessments, the ordering and recording stock and non-stock items, keeping the department tidy, maintaining the cleanliness equipment used, and inputting data onto systems as required.
3. The post holder will support all members of the team with administration duties, making resources to support programmes for young people and ensuring the links on website and resources are checked and updated on a yearly basis.
4. Assisting with specific Clinical duties, setting up standardised assessment kits in rooms for therapists, assisting therapists if required during the assessment process.
5. After induction and training, the post holder will be expected to use creative skills independently to meet the needs of our young people
