Manchester City Council’s Leisure, Events and Contracts service is seeking a Business Support Lead Level 2 to assist with the administration of the City Centre Space bookings.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for Manchester to contribute to the sustainable growth and future of the city through the management of commercial activities in Manchester's public spaces.
You will have experience of dealing with numerous tasks at once, and prioritising your workload to ensure both internal services and external partners enquiries are handled in a timely manner to help facilitate and achieve service objectives.
You will lead on the management and co-ordination of the City Centre Spaces calendar and liaise with clients and stakeholders to make them aware of availability and booked events including promotional activations, charity events and those from Manchester City Council partners.
You will manage relationships with clients and booking agencies and provide a professional service throughout their enquiry process whilst also promoting other commercial opportunities with Manchester City Council. This will include gathering post-event feedback, to increase the marketing of the service.
A key role will be to provide administrative support to the wider team and ensure all relevant documents are received in a timely manner well before events take place.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, organised and committed individual who is able to efficiently manage the calendar and booking process to assist in achieving commercial targets.

Essential requirements for the role:
•Communication Skills: Demonstrates an understanding of the views of others and communicates in a realistic and practical manner using appropriate language and medium, listens attentively to views and issues of others and responds to issues arising.
•Analytical Skills: Able and confident to resolve moderately complicated queries in their area of knowledge using logical thinking to explain reasoning behind decisions or actions taken.
•Planning and Organising: Demonstrate the ability to organize multiple tasks in the most effective way, and allocate time and energy according to task complexity and priority .
•Project Management: Takes responsibility for allocated project tasks and delivers these efficiently. Contributes to the project planning process within a defined project management framework providing required information in a timely manner and identify emerging risks to the project and reports these appropriately.
•Problem Solving and Decision Making: Ability to analyse situations, diagnose problems, identify the key issues, establish and evaluate alternative courses of action and produce a logical, practical and acceptable solution.
•Financial Management: Numeracy and accuracy skills to handle numbers confidently, collate information and keep accurate and reliable records to help with the monitoring and reviewing of financial resources.
The experience below would be beneficial but is not essential:

- Good administrative experience and knowledge of Microsoft apps.
