About the role

Full time, Permanent (Part-time applications will also be considered)
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Community Educational Psychology Service. The service has made significant strides recently in terms of staff recruitment and engagement with Bury schools and communities. We are therefore seeking an ambitious and creative experienced EP to help us in the next step of our journey. The postholder will help lead the service in a creative direction that puts Bury communities at its heart. You will support the Principal EP and wider EP leadership team in helping the service recognise its transformational potential at all levels of education.

This work will involve assisting in the development and delivery of a range of services and interventions including:
Training and development work, involving wellbeing programmes and mental health support teams
Innovative project work in schools and the wider community.
Group work with children and young people

Management and supervision of other staff members within the service
1:1 mentoring/therapeutic work with children and young people
Evaluation of service delivery
Administration
Direct individual work with CYP, including statutory assessment work

Requirements of the post:
- To be a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration.
- Relevant experience of working with children in educational / clinical or community settings to promote children’s well-being and progress;
- Evidence of using psychological understanding and approaches to support practice;
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Part-time, compressed and flexible working options will be considered.
