Summary

We are looking for a Level 2 Outdoor Practitioner at The Frank Chapman Centre, Bewdley.

Ideally suited to somebody with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading and delivering courses to young people and groups, including in an adventurous setting.

Practitioners at Sandwell Residential Education Service use their personality, qualifications, experience and facilitation skills to help children, young people and adults to lead happier and more successful lives.

The centre is part of the Sandwell Residential Education Service (SRES) which is a group of 4 centres in Shropshire, Staffordshire and North Wales and is managed by Sandwell Council.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience working with children and young people, and three or more qualifications / certification from:

Walking qualification.
RCI, CWIA, ERCA traditional instructor.
Archery GB. Bushcraft.
Mountain Biking.
Paddlesport instructor (kayak) or above but kayak awards preferred.
Any other valid operational qualification
You’ll also need an understanding of, and commitment to, the benefits of short-stay residential education.

An Enhanced DBS with Children's barring check is required for this role.
