Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team working for Dorset HealthCare University NHS Trust at Victoria Community Hospital in Wimborne . As a key member of the team you will find the experience challenging, rewarding and varied.

You will be working in a supportive team and environment. The Outpatient Physiotherapy team have strong links to the local community in the area, linking with local leisure services and community groups. Within Dorset HealthCare Trust we work closely with the MSK Orthopaedic Interface service (known as Dorset MSK) and our local hospitals. Through these links, we can further your experience to expand your knowledge and skills and provide career development opportunities. As a University Health Trust we make the most of our links to Bournemouth and Winchester Universities and the AECC. We are expanding our involvement in research projects. You should be a committed, dynamic, motivated professional having good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your work and excellent communication skills.

To work autonomously ( with appropriate support ) to provide skilled assessment and treatment/management for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including those with complex needs. Referrals are received from GP, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, MIU/A+E, self referral and other NHS colleagues. When appropriate onward referral to other services may be required.

To support the development of students and other colleagues . You will be involved in In-house training

To assist the Team Lead in the management of the Physiotherapy Service i.e service development
