Summary
To assemble drugs in cardiac arrest boxes recording batch numbers, expiry dates, ward usage and other relevant information in accordance with departmental procedures. To initiate orders for and maintain a continuous supply of medicine bottles, containers, bags, spoons, computer labels and other consumables in the Dispensary. To maintain standards of safety, tidiness and cleanliness within the department in accordance with COSHH and Health and Safety regulations. To ensure all working practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed. To assist the Senior Technicians for Replenishment and Stores in the co-ordination of the Drug Hazard/Recall procedure in the event of a drug recall, where appropriate. To assist in the training of all staff as appropriate ensuring systems and procedures are understood and standards achieved To provide dispensing support in line with NVQ level 2 progression, under support and supervision To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
