Summary
An exciting opportunity has emerged to contribute to innovation projects and improving access to patient data for research, within the Research and Innovation Service of GMMH, in collaboration with the BRC.
The National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) funds Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs) as experimental medicine centres of excellence via competitive application every five years.
Manchester BRC drives forward experimental medicine across a range of research themes which are grouped into four clusters: Inflammation, Cancer, High Burden Under Researched Conditions and Disease Complexity as areas where the region has demonstrable strength and which will work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and embed, build and accelerate personalised health and care for all.
Mental Health sits within the Under Researched Conditions.
The role, part funded by the BRC, is designed to act as the interface between academic leads and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, where the post is located, to deliver a set of objectives aimed at improving access to patient data for research and innovation and manage real world health tech projects, which involve industry, clinical and academic partners.
To be an effective member of The BRC Mental Health Domain to support access to patient data for research and deliver health tech pilot projects in clinical services, with responsibility for:
· The successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a number of digital innovation projects within your remit.
· Providing management, guidance and support to colleagues and junior members of innovation project teams.
· Manage project risks and issues.· Ensure the effective delivery of each project within agreed timescales, quality and cost.· Being central to the continual development of R&I digital health team and its functionality.
