This is an exciting time for Science Museum Group (SMG) as we seek to deliver a world class experience to our visitors nationally through a range of new objects, galleries and masterplans, alongside a range of first class, innovative consumer experiences and products.
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our corporate services division to assist the legal team provide support and advice for a wide variety of projects and initiatives at SMG in relation to the above. The role will be contractually based at the Science Museum in London, on a full-time basis until March 2026.
About the role
In this Paralegal role, you will report to the General Counsel and work alongside two other lawyers as part of a small team. You will provide general support to the legal team in its provision of advice across the Group, undertaking legal research and drafting notes of advice and handling routine legal enquiries. You may also assist on larger-scale legal projects (e.g., preparation of transactional documents). This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal to gain wide ranging-experience as part of the legal team at SMG and to contribute to furthering the public's enjoyment and understanding of science.
About you
Joining us, you will have a law degree or other relevant qualification, along with excellent research skills and good attention to detail. You will be to think analytically and be aware of the latest developments in the law. Bringing solid communication skills with the ability to build relationships, you will be adaptable and flexible, willing to be collaborative and proactive to support the wider team.
