Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently seeking a part-time class teacher for September 2025. We have some flexibility in staffing to be able to consider candidates for either Reception or KS1 – the ability to teach across both would be preferable. Candidates are welcome to visit the school and meet our staff team and children.

What the school offers its staff

Chilton County Primary School is a thriving school of more than 300 pupils set in stunning countryside just outside of Didcot within easy reach of the A34. The school has a stable, happy and committed staff team who work hard together to achieve the best outcomes for all of our children.

Our children are excited and keen to learn which was recognised in our most recent Ofsted which acknowledged pupils ‘praiseworthy behaviour’ and ‘strong and positive attitudes to learning.’ The school was judged good in our July 2024 Ofsted inspection.

Through our enquiry curriculum approach, we create exciting learning experiences for children where children have agency in their learning and creativity is valued. We have a purpose designed school with large open spaces and our own on-site forest school and large gardening area. We are proud of our curriculum offer where children benefit from residentials in each school phase, whole school theatre trips and a broad range of enrichment clubs.
