Job overview:
Biggin Hill Primary School is looking to appoint two caring, supportive and enthusiastic Senior Achievement Support Assistants (EYFS Wraparound Care) to work as part of our dedicated team. The job will consist of providing after school care for our Nursery children from 3.30pm until 5.30pm each day.Job Requirements:The successful candidates will:
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.Provide effective support as required by creating and maintaining a purposeful and supportive environment.Demonstrate an effective understanding of child development.Plan adaptations to meet the needs of the ‘unique child’.Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.Have a full and relevant qualification to work within an Early Years setting per the latest guidance from the Department for Education.Further information regarding the post can be found in the job description and person specification.Salary & Contract Details (per post):Hours: 10 hours per week, fixed term until February 2026.Grade: 6, spinal column 14-19Why choose Biggin Hill?
