Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced enthusiastic individual to lead our infant feeding service) at Whipps Cross Hospital in delivering high quality services to our clients/ families.
The post-holder is expected to has BSc or working towards BSc (completion with 6 months) or have Infant feeding qualification – from voluntary organisation (BfN, NCT, ABM, LLL tutor or experienced counsellor)
NLS Course (or equivalent) with over 2 years’ experience.
You will have sound management skills, resilience, and the ability to meet the demands of a busy clinical service.
In this role you will be expected to demonstrate a passion for promoting evidence-based practice, offer women continuity of care and to support women in every part of their infant feeding journey.
To provide management and leadership for infant feeding services within the hospital and Community. As the expert lead for infant feeding, provide support and organise training to ensure that all staff and mothers at the Whipps Cross hospital and Community Midwifery services are supported with feeding their baby. This starts in the antenatal period and continues in the community for as long as families seek support with feeding their babies. As the Baby Friendly lead, the candidate will work with midwives in the attainment of UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) level 3, networking with both Internal and external stakeholders.
