Crynodeb
o Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
o To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff
o Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
-Assist with service users’ overall comfort and well-being
- Facilitate service user engaging in their interests and activities
- Administer medication according to care plans where needed (specific training will be provided)
- Assist with meal preparation
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning
- Escort clients to appointments or social activities
- Observe, monitor, and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and notify senior staff on any changes.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor
Skills:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred(at least one year)
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in English language (verbal and written), Welsh Language would be an added advantage
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations (if required)
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up to date
