Summary
For further information, please refer to the Job Description/Person Specification These responsibilities will be carried out under the guidance of consultant Clinical psychologist (Paediatric and Teenage Psychology Service) To provide clinical psychology services for the pain pathway. To offer consultation regarding pain management issues for qualified and unqualified clinical psychology staff in the team. To be responsible for offering a comprehensive clinical psychology service for children and young people with pain and cancer, and their families. Teaching, Training and Supervision To receive regular clinical professional supervision from a senior clinical psychologist and, where appropriate, other senior professional colleagues. To develop skills in the area of professional post-graduate teaching, training and supervision and to provide supervision to other MDT staffs psychological work, as appropriate. To provide professional and clinical supervision of assistant/graduate psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists. Management, Recruitment, Policy and Service Development To participate in the development of the CHAMP service with the team leads. To participate in the systematic governance of psychological practice within the CHAMP service. To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the teams operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit. To advise both service and professional management on those aspects of the service where psychological and/or organisational matters need addressing.
