Job Overview
SPEC Engineering Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Assistant join our team in Leatherhead, Surrey.
If you are multi skilled with general maintenance skills, know a bit about general repairs, basic plumbing and can wield a broom or paint brush this is the role for you.
As this is an office based role therefore successful applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Leatherhead.
Responsibilities
• Doing minor or emergency repairs, decorative touches to office space and meeting rooms.
• Moving furniture, touching up paints,
• Carrying out regular Fire Safety checks
• Liaising with our external contractors to report repairs outside of your remit and chase up outstanding works.
• Building flat pack furniture/cabinets as and when required and maintenance of furniture.
• Basic plumbing such as changing tap washers, unblocking sinks etc
• General cleaning of offices including hoovering etc
• Assisting with disposing of packaging materials/general rubbish etc
Experience
• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• Able to use technology to keep up to date with email and other communications
• A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm
