Summary


To lead , co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the development, education and training for bands 2-4 Nursing staff across the trust including:

- Care certificate

- Vocational Education

- Trainee Nursing Associate Apprentices

- Registered Nursing Associates

- Registered Nursing Degree Apprentices

- Clinical skills

- Career / education opportunities

Plan, facilitate and evaluate training for bands 2-4 nursing workforce

To work in partnership with the Head of Apprentices to deliver high quality Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) apprenticeship

To work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support development of the band 2-4 workforce

To manage the creation and delivery of in-house and external educational offerings to support the education and career progression of bands 2-4 nursing staff

To develop and support Clinical Nurse Educators/practitioners in the practice setting regarding band 2-4 competency setting

To provide on-going support and preceptorship for Registered Nursing Associates

To provide education and training that supports clinical practice educators across the trust

We are seeking a highly motivated, committed, and passionate individual to take up the post of Lead Nurse Band 2-4 Development.
You must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to manage the bands 2-4 education team and support the Head of Education Nursing Education and Workforce/Nursing Workforce Lead in the development, implementation and quality monitoring of bands 2-4 education.

The post holder must demonstrate knowledge of current issues related to bands 2-4 education delivery. It is essential to have the ability to support the co-ordination of relevant educational issues trust wide and represent those views both internally and externally as required. The post holder will be a member of the relevant education and development groups and support nursing issues accordingly, and act as the Trust lead.

Candidate should also possess qualifications to demonstrate they are working at this level and have at least 2 years experience as a band 6.

Plan, facilitate and evaluate training, educational and developmental interventions ensuring educational aims and objectives meet the relevant aspects of the appropriate curriculum and national priorities for the bands 2-4 nursing workforce;

To work in partnership with the Head of Apprentices to deliver high quality Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) apprenticeship programmes for Nursing and Midwifery Assistants.

To work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support a Trainee Nursing Associate Apprenticeship programme that meets the workforce demand

To manage the creation and delivery of in-house and external educational offerings to support the education and career progression of bands 2-4 nursing staff

To develop and support Clinical Nurse Educators/practitioners in the practice setting to undertake competency assessment

To provide on-going support and preceptorship for Registered Nursing Associates

To provide education and training that supports clinical practice educators across the trust
