Responsibilities
Evaluate and approve building plans for compliance with building regulations
Conduct detailed site inspections to monitor construction progress and adherence to approved plans
Provide expert advice to clients, architects, and contractors regarding building regulations and compliance
Manage and mentor junior surveyors and trainees, providing guidance and support
Prepare detailed reports on inspections, assessments, and findings
Assist in the enforcement of building control legislation and take appropriate action when compliance is not met
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the building control team
Requirements
Must hold a Class 3 qualification in Building Control or equivalent
Significant experience in building control surveying or a related field
In-depth knowledge of current building regulations and standards
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience in mentoring or managing junior staff is advantageous
Proficiency in IT systems and software relevant to building control surveying
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £318.96
