Summary
Hybrid working arrangement, with the capacity to travel to Mansfield and work across Nottinghamshire. Job Purpose: This organisation is responsible for delivering a range of contracts relating to healthy lifestyle and behaviour change that include Tier 2 and Tier 3 weight management services, smoking cessation and a range of others that essentially aim to reduce health inequalities through community-driven services. We see patients from a range of backgrounds, clinical risks and complexities. This role supports effective and tailored weight management plans for children and young people, working with a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team to work towards lifelong healthy weight management. This provides an opportunity to develop expertise within a specialist area, and you will be supported with further training opportunities to better equip you for this role (eg SCOPE Certification specialist interest in weight management qualification). It also provides you with the opportunity to learn from our expert multidisciplinary team and practice leadership within a multi-disciplinary setting. The role would involve managing complex cases, contributing to Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings, training of allied health professionals where needed, and there may be an opportunity to contribute to research and development. This role primarily focuses on supporting the management of patients with morbid obesity. Duties and Responsibilities The role involves providing clinical oversight when needed for the Children and Young Peoples specialist weight-management service. It also includes: completing in-person medical reviews with support from a Paediatric Dietitian. advising on care coordination and case management where needed based on MDT discussions and risk assessments within a multidisciplinary team to arrive at the best approach to help patients manage their weight. managing complex cases and supporting decision-making around this when needed. Training in the role will be provided, and is a great opportunity, particularly for portfolio GPs, to develop in a specialist area.
