Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Cyber Security Operations Manager in the IT Services Department. You will lead the day-to-day monitoring, intervention, incident response and security controls for the University, combining the expertise of an internal operational team with our expert external partners, to protect the University’s applications, services and information assets from cyber security related threats.
Royal Holloway University has exciting digital aspirations as well as a complex and diverse IT offering. The role of Cyber Security Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the correct security posture. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work closely with the IT Services Senior Management team and the wider college leadership to ensure the Cyber Security offering is in line with the Business goals.
You will have experience of a broad range of IT service activities and ideally knowledge of security monitoring and vulnerability scanning tools. You will need to show that this portfolio of activity can be managed between onsite teams and carefully selected security partners. We will also expect a creative approach in how to engage with the users and increase awareness and positive security behaviours.
