Summary
The Perinatal Mental Health Service is a specialist service providing inpatient and community treatment for Mothers who experience mental health problems while pregnant or following the birth of their baby. Chamomile Suite is a purpose built 10 bedded inpatient unit offering conjoint admission for mothers and their babies, or for women in the latter stages of pregnancy.
We are currently looking to recruit a full time Healthcare Assistant to join our inpatient team. To meet the needs of our diverse service user group applicants should be adaptable and have a passion for delivering high quality patient centred care. It is essential that applicants have a genuine interest in working with women and their babies. Experience of caring for women experiencing acute mental health crisis is highly desirable.
Care is provided over a 24 hour period and all team members work rotational shift patterns to include days, nights weekends and bank holidays.
You will work within an inpatient setting to care for Mothers who are suffering from Mental Health problems in the Perinatal Period.
Chamomile Suite offers Mothers the opportunity to receive assessment and treatment for their Mental Health with their infant, avoiding separation and assisting to nurture the bond between Mother and Baby.
