Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Aragon Primary School is a thriving, high-achieving, and inclusive school, celebrated in the local community for its commitment to both academic excellence and the well-being of all our pupils. We are seeking a passionate, motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team from September 2025. This is a one-year fixed-term position with the potential for extension.

At Aragon, we pride ourselves on our outstanding academic performance, with top national rankings for Year 1 Phonics and Year 6 SATs results. We create a nurturing and collaborative learning environment where both children and staff flourish. Our pupils are eager to learn, and we are proud of the strong behaviour and positive attitudes that shape our school culture. As an OPAL Gold award school, we believe in the power of play and creativity, ensuring that every child is valued within our inclusive ethos.

What We Are Looking For:

• A passionate teacher who is committed to raising standards and helping every pupil succeed.
• A practitioner who understands how children learn best and applies current educational research, including Rosenshine’s Principles and Metacognition, to inform their teaching practice.
• An enthusiastic and reflective educator who thrives in a collaborative and team-based environment.
• A teacher who can create an engaging and inclusive classroom, where all pupils have the opportunity to excel.
• A warm, energetic individual with the ambition and commitment to contribute positively to our school community.

At Aragon, we are dedicated to providing the very best for both our pupils and staff. If you are an ambitious Early Career Teacher looking for a supportive and inspiring environment to begin your teaching career, we would love to hear from you. The year group you would be teaching is negotiable, based on your experience and preferences.
