Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 4 Landscape Officers to join our Greenspace and Biodiversity Team on a permanent basis.

Position Details

Reporting to the Assistant Group Manager, you will deliver a range of environmental initiatives, including our exciting programme of play area renewal and environmental improvements across our Parks throughout the City as part of Glasgow's Parks and Greenspaces Vision.

You will prepare sketches, designs and tender documents for a variety of projects.

You must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office and should be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders verbally, in writing and using drawn information and be able to demonstrate creative flair.

The following are essential requirements for this role:

  • A Landscape Architecture qualification, an HNC/HND in Compute Aided Draughting and Design qualification with relevant landscape design workplace-based training across a range of project types, or a related qualification in Greenspace/Parks Project Delivery.
  • Previous relevant landscape design experience and/or Landscape Architecture training, along with a good understanding of the design process and the principles of children’s play provision.
  • A current driving licence.

Project planning skills and a full working knowledge of design processes, procedures and systems within the field of Landscape Design are desirable as is experience of PowerPoint/Presentation & graphics presentation software.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35 hours

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday

Annual Salary: £34,922.37 - £40,664.84 on an incremental scale
