A leading privately owned contractor based in the south coast is seeking a Trainee Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is a excellent opportunity to join a family-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Trainee Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business.
About the role of Trainee Health & Safety Advisor
This regional contractor traditionally specialises in ground works & earthworks for large developers, packages valuing up to £5M across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Surrey for framework clients. The role of Trainee Health & Safety Advisor will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with a clear progression plan and development strategy in place.
Responsibilities for Trainee Health & Safety Advisor
- Regular client liaison
- Conducting on site audits and Inspections
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate for the project teams
- Keeping up to date with the latest HSQE requirements including legislation and best practice.
Requirements for Trainee Health & Safety Advisor
- Previous experience within the construction industry is desired but not essential
- Relevant qualification including either NEBOSH or IOSH
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Drive and determination for progression and learning
