Falkirk Council has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Food & Safety team for a temporary period.

You candidate will assist officers within the team deliver duties such as Food Law, Occupational Health and Safety and Communicable Disease. They may also occasionally support officers in the Environmental Protection team.

You must have an HNC, or equivalent, in an Environmental Health related subject. Ideally you will hold an academic qualification that allows you to train as a Food Safety Officer.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a Local Authority.

You must have excellent interpersonal, communication, reporting and IT skills. You must have the ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team. You must be mobile throughout the Council area.

The role will be delivered on a hybrid working model giving the successful applicant the opportunity to combine working from home, in the field and in the office.

This post is temporary until October 2025 due to service requirement.
