Summary
To write and co-sign policies. Policies will impact beyond own area of activity To manage a quality system documentation structure and layout which is effective and easy to use To maintain the effectiveness of the quality system in helping to achieve results andservice quality To organise and chair regular meetings, eg JACIE Quality Forum, JACIE ManagementReview Group, NHSBT annual meetings and to participate in decision making and policy implementation To become familiar with the area of work for which they are Quality Manager; relevant statutory requirements, clinical governance, risk management and quality audit policies and procedures of the Trust and the system(s) of accreditation required. To educate and train the staff involved in the transplant procedure To educate and train staff in using an electronic quality management system To maintain the JACIE Quality Management Plan which is the key document outlining top level policy and organisation and mapping the procedures that deliver the service To operate a system for document control as part of a maintained QMS To supervise a programme of internal audits against defined quality performance measures To supervise a programme of process audits as per the JACIE audit calendar To follow up on external inspections and verify the completion of corrective action as required by the reports of the inspectors To monitor the requirements of the service users and ensure that they are reflected within defined quality performance measures To provide help and advice to members of the team and Quality Leads on quality management matters To identify areas and particular projects where there is the potential for improvement of quality to the benefit of the service provided by the Gloucestershire Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Service To write an Annual Quality Report for circulation within the Trust To help support the department with setting future quality objectives To prepare documentation as required for JACIE inspection and interim audit To prepare for JACIE inspection visits prior to reaccreditation To oversee the Data Management role Other tasks that arise from time to time relevant to delivering the objectives of the GHSCTS
