Summary

Pucklechurch Primary is a wonderful village school between Bristol and Bath. The governors are looking to appoint a dynamic teaching assistant to work flexibly to support a range of SEN children with EHCPs and deliver academic and pastoral interventions as directed by the class teacher.
This role is in conjunction with a lunchbreak supervisor commitment. All of our TAs work on this model and recognise the positive impact that this cohesive approach has on the relationships they are able to build with the children.Full time (8:40am-3pm (including LBS role) - Subject to funding or the children leaving the school. 8.40am – 12.00 and 1.00pm – 3pm Monday to Friday SEN TA (26 hours 40 minutes per week)
PLUS 12.00 – 1.00pm Monday to Friday LBS (5 hours per week). Applicants will need to:- Build relationships rooted in patience, compassion and mutual respect.
- Be calm with a good sense of humour- Be flexible and adaptive to change
- Be committed to the vision and Christian values that underpin the ethos of Pucklechurch CE VC Primary
- Build on classroom practice to develop academic and pastoral interventions e.g. phonics and Zones of Regulation
- Develop a positive working relationship with class teachers and the wider team to ensure effective communication
- use their own initiative to support pupils whilst also developing their independence
Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but training will be given in order to develop key skills.
