We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused **Housing Officer** to join our Housing and Communities team. **The Role**
As a **Housing Officer**, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient and responsive housing management service. You will work closely with residents, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage various housing functions, including property viewings, sign-ups, and tenancy agreements.
- Conduct estate visits and inspections independently.
- Build strong relationships with local Tenant and Residents’ Associations and attend occasional out-of-hours meetings.
- Address nuisance and anti-social behaviour cases, escalating them as needed.
- Respond to complaints, correspondence, and member enquiries professionally and effectively.
- Identify and support vulnerable residents, ensuring they receive the appropriate assistance.
- Act promptly on safeguarding concerns in line with procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex cases.
- Prepare legal documentation for possession and injunction proceedings, attending court hearings as required.
- Stay up to date with housing legislation and best practices.

- Has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by social housing providers.

- Possesses strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a high-pressured workload.
- Has experience working collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Previous experience in social housing is desirable but not essential.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is desirable.
- Can attend meetings outside normal working hours when required.
