Your Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the SPEND Hub on a full-time basis (37 hours). This role involves hybrid working, including the opportunity to work from home as well as team days based at Stopford House.

This is a diverse role in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to plan and prioritise workloads, set and respond appropriately to deadlines.

Key activities include:

  • Processing orders and invoices for payment using PECOS and SAP
  • Raising invoices using SAP
  • Using Microsoft Excel to collate data
  • Working closely with colleagues across the council
  • Responding to and managing team inboxes

The successful applicant will be part of a small team and communicate with a wide variety of people. You will need to work flexibly to meet service needs, under pressure at times and meet deadlines. This is a busy role that requires a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

About You

We expect staff recruited at scale 4 to be hard-working, well-organised and to be good team players. You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of customer service, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be able to empathise and be sensitive to the needs of the people using our services. You will have previous experience of dealing with customers and be able to prioritise your own workload.

You should be proficient in working with standard office IT applications including MS Office and with training be able to navigate in-house case management systems to retrieve and record information.
