An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Care Nurse to join the Offender Health Care Group working at HMP Fosse Way. HMP Fosse Way is a Category C Resettlement Prison.

HMP Fosse Way houses 1,715 prisoners and focus on the rehabilitation of offenders and their reintegration back into society. It consists of 7 House blocks across 4 floors. There is a dedicated healthcare suite located in the main building with also additional multi use rooms across the establishment including rooms for groups or 1-2-1’s.

This role requires a Primary Care Nurse to work as part of a team delivering care to patients both within the Healthcare Centre’s and on the Wings within the prison environment.

To provide high quality nursing care to patients with physical healthcare needs in a prison setting.

Accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care.

To provide basic leadership to junior staff by maintaining professional standards ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

To provide support and supervision for junior staff and learners
