About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to join our Front of House team and undertake a Level 3 Customer Service apprenticeship.



We’re looking for an enthusiastic apprentice with outstanding communication and customer service skills to be based at our offices at Pipewell Quay on Gateshead’s Quayside.



As an Apprentice Receptionist, you will welcome colleagues and visitors to our office and will provide a seamless experience from the moment they arrive until they depart. You will proactively oversee workspaces, meeting rooms, collaboration areas, and building amenities.



In your role as an Apprentice Receptionist, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and engaging environment, ensuring every visitor and colleague feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for throughout their time on site.

What you will be doing:
As a highly motivated and conscientious self-starter, your main areas of responsibility will include:

Ensuring all customers and visitors to Aspire receive a warm, welcoming experience.
General office administration, including:
Organising meetings, including arranging catering and refreshments.
Assisting with the organisation of pool cars, car parking, and other travel for colleagues.
Ensuring all relevant systems are kept up to date.
Assisting with organising and arranging internal colleague events.
Supporting building management tasks.
Handling switchboard calls and directing them to the appropriate team.
Ensuring meeting rooms are kept to a high standard and set up ready for client meetings.
Managing postal deliveries and ensuring accurate distribution within Aspire.
Acting as a brand ambassador for Aspire.
Assisting with onboarding of new colleagues and other related HR tasks.
You will suit the role if you have:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Ability to look for new ways to improve service quality and efficiency.
Excellent organisational skills, highly self-motivated, personable, and friendly with a positive and resilient attitude

You will be based at Aspire’s Gateshead head office with travel as required.

Interview Process
