Summary
To work with members of M&H and H&S team as required, as identified by the Head of H&S and Lead M&H advisor To work independently with guidance, where necessary Maintain their CPD in M&H in order to provide up to date information to the trust and staff To provide training (practical, via e-learning, documentation, TEAMS etc) and support staff attending M&H training in order to enhance their practical skills in pursuit of their roles when caring for patients and/or handling inanimate loads Facilitate specialised training courses e.g. MHLW courses, Bariatric M&H courses, Spinal Handling courses To empower staff at all levels with effective support and encouragement to work towards reducing the risk of injury to themselves and others (colleagues and patients etc) Provide expert advice as required To be market aware of M&H suppliers & relevant products To assist with M&H audits as required To use the Trust M&H Equipment Standard to identify equipment requirements and provide feedback to managers etc. To use their M&H knowledge and experience in order to understand issues relating to the application of safe handling in a range of different workplaces when helping develop safe handling solutions To be or working towards being a member of a relevant professional body e.g. National Back Exchange To maintain a working knowledge of associated H&S legislation.
