Are you a dedicated and proactive individual looking to play a vital role in supporting patient care? We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our Women’s Health Ward & Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit (EGAU) at Peterborough City Hospital.
What We’re Looking For:
• A team player with great communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards.
• Basic understanding of health & safety, infection control and food hygiene (training will be provided).
• A caring and compassionate nature, committed to improving the patient experience.

As a Housekeeper, you will work as an integral part of the Women's Health/EGAU team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation and efficiency in the department. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Stock management – ordering, storing and maintaining medical and non-medical supplies.
• Monitoring and reporting maintenance or cleanliness issues to the relevant departments.
• Supporting catering services – ensuring appropriate food distribution, assisting patients with meals and maintaining hygiene standards in food storage and preparation areas.
• Assisting in the smooth running of the department, working alongside nurses and clinical teams to enhance patient experience.
Working Hours & Benefits:
• Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (excluding bank holidays)
• Be part of a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team
• Opportunities for training and professional development
