Summary
Are you looking to develop your career in tax? We are seeking a motivated individual to support our busy and expanding tax department. Your role will involve preparing personal tax returns, liaising with clients and HMRC, and assisting with various ad hoc tax-related tasks.

To support our busy and growing tax department with tax compliance work to include:
Preparation of personal tax returns for a range of partnerships, directors of OMBs, Sole Traders, BTL landlords and HNW individuals.
Maintaining good client relationships by taking calls from clients and assisting with their adhoc queries.
Checking tax computation, statements of account and tax repayments, dealing with HMRC enquiries.
Providing adhoc support to the Partners and Senior Managers in the team as required.
Future prospects: Future potential to take Chartered Tax or Chartered Accountancy qualifications, subject to performance
On the job training to further develop tax knowledge and experience
Qualifications required: GCSEs Min 5 at grades 9-5 including Maths and English
AAT Level 2.
Skills required:
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• PC literate and strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other commonly used software
• Excellent organisational skills and record keeping with the ability to manage/monitor deadlines.
• Ability to follow direction and also to work independently as required
• Ability to establish priorities and manage workload
• Diligent, accurate with excellent attention to detail

Working hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 9am-5.30pm

Training: Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete Assistant Accountant level 3 Apprenticeship.
