Summary
The Role:
In the newly created role of an operations manager, this is an opportunity for a fashion-conscious and energetic individual to develop a career in the wholesale supply of used clothing and shoes.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Lead and manage warehouse operational team.
- Actively communicating with our current suppliers mainly in Pashto and Urdu languages
- Willing to travel worldwide if needed to meet our current and potential suppliers.
- Manage used clothing and shoes sorting and grading process, packaging and inventory management.
- Assigns tasks, monitors and reviews staff performance
- Marketing: Telephone, Google, Social Media, 3rd Party Websites etc...
- E-commerce Activities: manage our company e-commerce website and 3rd party selling sites particularly eBay, Instagram , WhatsApp and Facebook to to maximise sales
- Stock management which will include packing and unpacking and physical movement of stock to maintain the warehouse
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Effectively managing range of warehouse operations, e-commerce and sales activities
- Other duties will include anything related to the smooth running of the business as and when required. You must take on reasonable additional or different duties when we ask you, to meet our reasonable business needs.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Must be eligible for unrestricted employment in the UK
2. Must hold a valid passport
3. Must be fluent in English, Urdu and Pashto in order to communicate effectively with our customers and suppliers overseas
4. Managerial wholesale or retail experience in clothing/apparel required.
5. Must have basic IT skills
6. Understanding of the sorting, grading and packaging of used clothing
7. Good communication and people management skills
8. Must be able to work in a dusty environment
