Summary

We are recruiting a Cook in Charge at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 22.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only (38 Weeks)
Location: Maesycwmmer Primary School

Are you looking for work in a kitchen within a school environment?

The post will include ensuring food, cleaning materials and sundry supplies and orders are made regularly and accurately, according to the relevant procedures contained within the Workplace Practices Manual, and to ensure correct stock control, in the catering unit. You will keep full and accurate entries and records in all books/forms, to make relevant returns to Head Office and to handle cash or tickets, all in accordance with administrative procedures.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing the individual work performance of staff within their control, applying particular attention to hygiene and safety and to liaise with the Supervisor/Manager on training needs and training delivery.

For the role, we ask that you have:

A level 2 qualification in Food Safety.
An understanding of the role to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
The ability to exercise good judgement when dealing with issues that are of a sensitive nature.
Able to work at various sites throughput CCBC.
