Summary

A growing multi-national Pentecostal Church and a Charitable Incorporated Organisation located in Stockport, Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated music minister to join our church community as an Assistant Pastor (Children).

The Assistant Pastor for children department would be responsible for leading the children department, teaching the children Christian values and morals, performing pastoral duties and conducting services in accordance with our Christian values, mission and visions, building a child-friendly environment that focuses on Health and Safety requirements, preparing educative spiritual materials for the children, engaging the kids in creative arts and crafts for the children.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and lead the children department
• Create child-friendly environment that considers Health and Safety requirements
• Teach the children Godly values and morals
• Prepare and deliver child-friendly sermons including creative and educative spiritual
materials for children
• Engage the children in creative arts and crafts
• Organise and provide suitable snacks and meals for the Children
• Lead the children church in praise, worship and prayers
• Deputise for the Senior Pastor
• Perform pastoral care duties and conducts some services in accordance with our
Constitution
Responsible to: Lead Pastor
Skills and Requirements for the role
 Must be a born-again Christian, believe in Jesus Christ as the only
begotten son of God, the Holy Spirit and the Holy bible as the word of God.
 Must be vast and well grounded in the word of God.
 Must be a member of the C&S or from a verifiable C&S background.
 Active, daily, personal devotional life.
 Open to the move and voice of God.
 An active, committed Pentecostal Christian.
 Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English Language.
 Ability to lead and participate in church services.
 Ability to support the lead Pastor and leadership in growing the ministry.
 Knowledge of the West African/Caribbean culture including ability to
speak one local African language.
 Ability to minister to the needs peculiar to that ethnic group is desirable.

Experience
 Regularly leading under 18s clubs in a church or Christian organisation.
 Actively leading under 18s discipleship in a church context, (e.g. Sunday
School).
 Experience of team leading.
 Experience of organising holiday clubs.
 Ability to work proactively and with minimal or no supervision.
 Experience of teaching children the bible and leading congregational.
worship in an ethnically diverse congregation is desirable.
Qualification
 A Bachelor’s degree or qualification equivalent of level 6
 Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar children’s leader role
