Summary

Job Title: Assembly Operator

Overview: A company in Rossendale is searching for an Assembly Operator for their UK manufacturing facility. The company has over 40 years of industry heritage and serves customers worldwide from their headquarters in the UK. The products are used in safety-critical applications across multiple sectors.

Position Summary: The candidate will be responsible for assembly operations in the fibreglass/hoist/ratchet assembly areas. These products are safety-critical, and the operator must ensure all manufacturing processes are followed precisely to achieve a 100% right-first-time pass rate. Flexibility to work in other manufacturing areas when required is essential.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 0800-1645
Friday 0800-1230
37.5 hours paid working week, 30 minute unpaid lunch

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

-Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines
-Operate process equipment safely and efficiently
-Complete daily tasks to meet production volume and schedule
-Accurately complete production records in a timely manner
-Maintain standards at all times
-Comply with all quality system requirements
-Adhere to Health & Safety directives and company procedures
-Identify and report unsafe practices immediately
-Monitored by KPI'S to ensure high level performance

Person Specification:

-High regard for Health, Safety, and quality
-Candidate must be happy wearing face masks/ PPE as you can be dealing with strong glue
-Maintains positive and respectful work relationships
-Encourages teamwork and continuous improvement
-Self-motivated and conscientious

-Excellent attention to detail

-Ability to read and interpret instructions and engineering drawings

-Experience using hand tools
-Experience completing production records, preferably using PC-based data entry

Experience and Qualifications:

-GCSE A-C Grade in English and Mathematics
-Around 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production/assembly environment
