Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, GCP, and Azure, with certifications up to an associate level. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our clients cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability of our systems, and training associates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based applications and services.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
- Automate infrastructure and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Networking:
- Design and manage network architectures, including load balancers, firewalls, and virtual private clouds (VPCs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
Monitoring and Logging:
- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance and detect issues proactively.
- Use tools like CloudWatch, Stackdriver, and Azure Monitor to monitor and alert on system health.
Training and Mentorship:
- Train and mentor junior DevOps engineers and associates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and best practices.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical issues.
Requirements:
Certifications: (essential)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate
- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer – Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer – Associate
Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering.
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, including designing and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
-Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with network architecture design and management.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Stackdriver, and Azure Monitor.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
Other:
- Willing to work in an office-based role in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
- Hybrid option available up to 2 days a week
- Must be willing to participate in on-call rotations.
