Summary
Norwich City Services Ltd (NCSL) is committed to maintaining and improving the standards of streets, parks, open spaces, housing areas, and highway verges in partnership with Norwich City Council. We are looking for a dedicated and versatile individual to join our service-driven grounds maintenance team.
As a Grounds Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including towing trailers, grave digging, and grounds maintenance activities such as hoeing, sweeping, pruning, hedge cutting, and grass cutting. You will drive various vehicles within the scope of your licence and perform basic care and maintenance of plant, tools, and equipment. Ensuring daily checks on vehicles and equipment, completing paperwork, and promoting equalities and customer care are also key aspects of the role. You will be expected to take reasonable care for health, safety, and welfare, complying with relevant policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be flexible in undertaking other duties as required by your line manager.
Requirements:
- Full Driving License
- Category B and E License
- Demonstrable Experience of working in a physical role
- Evidence of having worked as part of a team
- Customer service experience
- Ability and willingness to work in all weathers
- Ability and willingness to utilise mechanical equipment
