Currently seeking a tutor to work with our vocational training team in Plymouth City Centre, delivering digital and employability skills.
Salary: £23,346 per annum Hours: 34 per week

Our standard full-time working week is 34 hours, usually Monday to Friday (although some flexibility may be required depending on the sector in which you work). The Job Role:
“Actively Transforming Lives” by delivering consistent, high quality training in basic digital skills and employability to support learners in achieving their career goals.

The Candidate:
Qualified to minimum Level 3 in an IT-based area (Digital Skills, ECDL, IT User or similar);
Experience in supporting learners with employability skills (relevant qualification an advantage);
Ability to support delivery of an English or Maths curriculum an advantage but the focus of this role is Digital and Employability;
Current teaching qualification preferred (CTLLS, Education & Training or equivalent) but full training to nationally recognised qualification available for suitable trainee candidates;
CAVA or equivalent assessing qualifications an advantage;
Experienced in supporting learners from Entry Level to Level 2 abilities, with the resilience and positive, approachable manner that maintains learner engagement;
Confident in delivering consistent quality of training and assessment, teaching and mentoring individuals, small groups and classroom cohorts;
Have good organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload;
Able to develop and maintain motivational working relationships with learners;
Able to work both independently and within a wider team supporting functional skills and employability as part of the vocational subject curriculum.
