NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
This will be across 1 PA of time (1PA = 4 hours)
The Foundation Programme Director will be responsible for managing a Foundation Programme (N14 - FY1 & FY2) and the education and training needs of each individual on the programme.
N14 programme has been created in North region as part of the permanent expansion of F1 and F2 Foundation posts. The N14 FPD post is a new post to manage the programme and is open to permanent staff (Consultant, GP or SAS doctor) based in NHS Grampian or Highland. Accountable to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Postgraduate Dean, applicants will be expected to have Recognition of Trainer status and will contribute, in partnership with the existing FPDs based in NHS Grampian, to the formal Foundation teaching programme. It is possible to combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.
Resident doctors / doctors in training are not eligible to apply for this post.
