Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am a lady in my 90s living in the Pontypridd area. I am seeking a PA to assist me within my home and out in the community, I am looking for a caring, patient and flexible PA to help me maintain my independence.



I am visually impaired and have mobility issues, I don’t like using my wheelchair so I used to use 1 or 2 walking sticks to get around but now I use a walking frame. I might need some verbal assistance with my surroundings when walking. I would require assistance with getting in and out of a vehicle and help with carrying my shopping into my home. Sometime I struggle with identifying different colours, which I require some support with especially when clothes shopping.





PURPOSE OF JOB



To support and assist me in my home and when out in the community.







PLACE OF WORK



In my home and out in the local area











HOURS OF WORK



2.5 hours a week either on a morning of a Wednesday, Thursday or over the weekend





RATE OF PAY



£14.70 per hour including paid mileage where applicable





TASKS INVOLVED





To support me in my home.
To assist me in the community.
To assist me with a shopping list and verbal assistance whilst shopping.
To attend appointments from time to time.
Clothes shopping like Matalan or Sainsbury’s








TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED



Someone with a good sense of humour.
Someone who is caring and supportive.
Someone trustworthy and patient.
Will need to be a driver with assess to their own vehicle.
Flexible with the hours of work.
Someone friendly and chatty.



ABOUT THE JOB



This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.



All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
