About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our expanding team in Birmingham. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are running efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in compliance with industry regulations.
• Conduct brake, suspension, axle repairs, and structural repairs, including welding.
• Keep accurate service records and maintain compliance documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced workshop.
• Collaborate effectively with other technicians to ensure team success.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic with hands-on experience working on heavy vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a busy workshop environment.
• Full UK driving license (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential).
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
• IRTEC accreditation.
• Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds).
• Experience with tail lift, lifting deck, or double-deck trailer maintenance.
