This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become part of our highly motivated, award-winning team as we seek to recruit an ambitious People Adviser.

We are looking for someone with a dynamic approach to collaborative working and a desire to achieve results; experienced and motivated in their role to deliver a high quality, solution and customer focused service.

Key responsibilities of this role include providing professional advice, guidance and support to our senior management team; employees and stakeholders whilst proactively managing a high volume of diverse employee relation cases. We want someone who will excel in building strong relationships, working with our stakeholders to embed our People Team objectives in all areas of our business.

With proven effective skills in influencing leaders on complex employment matters; you will contribute to strategic projects and reports. You will play a key role in our teams’ commitment to continue modernising and developing progressive and inclusive People policies designed to enable Renfrewshire Council to embrace modern ways of working.

Qualified to degree, post graduate or equivalent level in an HR related discipline and possessing associate membership of CIPD as a minimum, you will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in an HR environment, ideally acquired within the public sector e.g. Local Government; NHS etc. You must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive, current knowledge of HR procedures, practices and relevant legislation and have proven experience working with trade unions.

If you believe you have effective communication and presentation skills; knowledge of terms and conditions for local government employees and an understanding of current and future HR issues within local government then this role may be for you.
