Summary

Commencing April 2025 and October 2025,

Clinical fellow with research commitment and registrar level general surgery on call commitment. Pelvic Floor and general surgery.

This is presently on a 1:8 contribution to the emergency general surgery rota at Northwick Park, and will be banded at Band 1A. The band is subject to regular review and will vary to reflect any revised rota arrangements.

We are a university teaching NHS trust, in recognition of the important role we play in training clinicians of the future and bringing the benefits of research to the public.

Clinical Duties
i. To run the Neurostimulation Service which includes a weekly outpatient clinic and regular operating lists for the insertion of devices.

ii. Tests of anorectal function, including manometry, electrophysiology, sensory function. This work is shared with the clinical scientists.


iii. To insert SNS devices, run the SNS service and program the SNS patients in combination with the SNS nurse.


iv. To directly supervise the clinical scientists in the Unit, to assist them in performing studies when require.


v. Involvement in all aspects of the Pelvic Floor Unit at St Mark’s.


vi. Attendance and involvement in the departmental MDT meeting
