Summary
Connect Appointments have an exciting new opportunity for a reliable individual with maintenance experience to join our prestigious Broxburn based client as a Site Maintenance Operative.
You will work to help ensure the smooth running of the facility, by performing daily operational tasks and duties, including:
- Ensuring acceptable standards of work are completed - including prioritising work, liaising with other personnel and departments, ensuring duties are completed
- Liaise with contractors, site management and other site support staff
- Monitoring the movement of furniture and equipment
- Ensuring the tidiness and safety of the site - including litter picking, rubbish removal, clearing of snow and leaves, checking of safety equipment and removal of dangerous material
- Undertaking minor building repairs and maintenance work
- Fitting White boards and notice boards, plus replacing door and window furniture
- Repairing leaking taps and pipes, fitting of toilet fixtures, clearing of blocked drains, channels and toilets
- Any other site support duties that are in line with the job purpose and grade
To be successful in this maintenance role you will ideally have previous experience in a maintenance/handyman or similar environment. Plus, be FLT qualified - desirable but not essential; competent IT skills - desirable but not essential; be MEWP trained (scissor lift and cherry picker).
What's on offer:
- Monday to Friday, 07:45 to 16:30 - early Friday finish
- £12.90 hour
