Summary
The SWS Future Organisation Manager (SWS-FOM) is part of the Director Weapon (D.W.) MoD intelligent customers team. D.W. is responsible for the management and delivery of all Strategic and Tactical weapons support to Continuous at Sea Deterrence (CASD).
The site is managed and controlled by a MoD Authority with site activities supported by 3 contracts: The Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP), the In-Service Support Contract (ISSC) and Strategic Weapons Systems Outsourcing Contract (SWSOC). All contracts are subject to renewal/replacement with the SWSOC contract expiring Dec 2027.
The SWS Future Organisation Manager (SWS FOM) will lead the development of the new SWS operating model between Navy Command, Defence Nuclear Organisation and Chief Strategic System Executive and develop the new SWS contract model with our Industrial Partners (IP). Whilst the focus will be on the SWSOC replacement contract, SWS FOM will be responsible for alignment and integration of the SWSOC (R) with the replacement contracts for both ISSC and FMSP.
Tasks Include:
To provide direct support to Director Weapons to develop the MoD SWS operating and commercial model.
To recruit and manage a small team to manage the replacement SWSOC contract. (subject to Navy Command approval)
To develop a HMNB(C) SWS operating model options for evaluation and approvals
Maintain all project records.
Prepare and maintain reports to the SWS Output Board, (SWS OB), the One Clyde Mission Delivery Group (OCMDG) and 2* Trident Delivery Group (TDG)
To manage and implement the SWS operating model directed by the TDG
To develop IP contract arrangements in-conjunction with NC, CSSE and DNO and HMNB(C) Subject Management Experts (S.M.E)
To work in-conjunction with the Naval Support Integrated Global Network (NSIGN) and In Service Support contract teams to ensure SWSOC(R) is fully integrated with these contracts.
To identify new support/enabling requirements from NSIGN in support of HMNB(C) SWS activities.
