Summary

• St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in South London, is a teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre with our maternity unit providing care to over 5000 women yearly.
• Our midwifery led Birth Centre – Carmen Birth Centre, named after one of our passionate community midwives – delivers approx. 600 babies a year.
• Our dedicated teams and specialist midwives for AN screening, Infant Feeding, NIPE, Bereavement, Governance, FGM, Maternal Medicine, Diabetes, FMU/DAU, Safeguarding and Perinatal Mental Health have a wealth of experience and are able support you todevelop your knowledgein areas you feel passionate about. • We are very proud of our well established Fetal Monitoring team that deliver MDT training, twice weekly teaching and clinically support learning on shifts.
• You will gain a deeper understanding of fetal well-being, CTG and STAN monitoring that will expand your knowledge and help support a safe and healthy birth.
• You can develop your skills and practice across the entire maternity service and support women across the entire range of our services.
• All contracts are rotational and you will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of midwifery with rotations to inpatient and outpatient areas along with opportunities to join our continuity of care teams.
